It was great news Greg agreed to allow me to paint his portrait. Meeting him confirmed he was a warm and kind person, this I wanted to capture in his portrait. Purposely off centre to make him less imposing at such a large size and no yellow ;) The work is 150 x 160cm and painted in oils, this seemed like it would be a breeze as he is made up of 25 circles in each 5cm square (I have painted up 256 per 5cm square), however most had to be painted a few times to get the colouring the way I intended.
